As the evalution report details, they achieved most of what was planned, including some unexpected outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>@LIS2 accompanied on-going, demand-driven processes in the region, making appreciable contributions to a more equitable and inclusive Information Society in Latin America, mainly through:<\/p>\n<p>i. <strong>Enhanced policy and regulatory frameworks<\/strong>; e.g. as a result of the regional eLAC action plans national digital agendas supported by CEPAL-@LIS2, or the telecom regulatory exchanges brought about by REGULATEL.<\/p>\n<p>ii. <strong>Better connectivity, reaching more people<\/strong>; e.g, from advances in broadband costs and coverage prompted by CEPAL-@LIS2, or the improved academic network put in place by ALICE2.<\/p>\n<p>iii. <strong>Increased human and institutional capacity<\/strong> to use ICTs for human development; provided by all three projects.<\/p>\n<p>iv.<strong> Improved contents and services<\/strong>; e.g. offerings by the RedCLARA network to the Latin American academic community, or from the research and publications produced by CEPAL-@LIS2.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/manuelacevedo.net\/lis2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Bolivia-profesores2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-267 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/manuelacevedo.net\/lis2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Bolivia-profesores2.jpg\" alt=\"Bolivia profesores\" width=\"580\" height=\"435\" srcset=\"https:\/\/manuelacevedo.net\/lis2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Bolivia-profesores2.jpg 580w, https:\/\/manuelacevedo.net\/lis2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/Bolivia-profesores2-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/1tjtjj7o4ozh0vi\/Conclusions.docx\" target=\"_blank\">Read more<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The @LIS2 programme was in general terms successfully implemented, both as a whole as well as for each of its three projects.
