The “@LIS2 programme – Alliance for the Information Society between Europe and Latin America 2” , was a development cooperation programme of the European Commission.
It had two main objectives.
- To provide support to the development of a sustainable, competitive, innovative and inclusive Information Society in Latin America, as part of national and regional efforts to reduce poverty, inequality and social exclusion.
- To strengthen political, technical and social relations within the Latin American region and with Europe regarding the Information Society.
It was implemented from December 2008 until April 2013.
Total budget: 31.25 million Euros (22 million of which were provided by the EC).
