Promoting, improving and extending the dialogue on Information Society experiences in Latin America
  • Support to the eLAC processes (2010 y 2015): regional Agenda for development and social inclusion based on the adoption of TIC as a tool for innovation, competitiveness, participation and social interaction).
  • Regional Dialog for Internet Broadband
  • Dialogs for Inclusive and Innovative Digital Agendas in Latin America and the Caribbean (direct support to Bolivia, Paraguay, Ecuador)
  • ICT for social inclusion/Sectorial Dialogues: e-health, e-education, e-agriculture, productive sectors,  among others.
2. ALICE2: “Extending and Strengthening RedCLARA as e-infrastructure for Collaborative Research and Support to Development”

Implementing organization: CLARA (Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks)

Encouraging and supporting research among Latin American countries and between Latin American countries and Europe
  • To maintain and further develop the network infrastructure of RedCLARA, with a sustainable funding model.
  • To create user communities to ensure use of RedCLARA for the MDGs and fostering the collaboration within Latin American researchers and with European researchers .
  • To develop a sustainable funding model which provides long term stability and sustainability, through the reinforcement of the RedCLARA organization, an adequate cost distribution model and a solid financial administration.
  • To expand geographical coverage of RedCLARA to all Latin American countries, creating synergies with and within the NRENs through locally usable terrestrial infrastructure.
  • To empower NRENs to become active members of RedCLARA, providing training and tools for their technical, management and academic communities.
  • To efficiently disseminate the objectives, developments, advances and achievements of ALICE2, the RedCLARA network and CLARA and to help in the construction of an inclusive RedCLARA community
3. REGULATEL: “Consolidation of the Telecommunications Regulators Network of Latin America”

Strengthening the harmonization processes of the Telecommunications Regulation in Latin America
  • To stimulate information sharing and Exchange of knowledge among members, through meetings, actions, capacity building, seminars, virtual fora, publications.
  • To stimulate inter-regional dialogue, through specific Programmes in cooperation with other regional or European organizations.
  • The consolidation of the REGULATEL Forum, through working groups, plenary meetings, corresponsal meetings, sustainability activities.
